Grilled Flank Steak with

Blackberry Sauce

Flank steak cooks up quickly and easily on the grill thanks to a garlicky marinade that tenderizes the meat and imparts flavor. After slicing the steak thinly on the diagonal, it is served with a vibrant blackberry sauce.

Serves 6

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice

1-1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more for seasoning

2 pounds flank steak

4 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, divided

2 shallots, finely chopped

1 cup red wine

1-1/3 cups beef stock or low-sodium beef broth

1/2 cup fresh or frozen (thawed and drained) blackberries

1/4 cup blackberry jam or preserves

Salt

Chopped fresh mint leaves, for garnish
